A BIT ABOUT ME I am an executive and business coach/consultant who supports people in their desire to overcome the obstacles that limit them in their lives and help them explore new paths, enabling them to achieve the goals they desire, both professionally and personally.
My diverse exposure to all kinds of people and situations, together with my deep interest in supporting others in their need to grow, has brought me to the coaching profession.
The unusual path that I've followed throughout my life has made me particularly well-suited to coaching. While I have certainly had my share of formal education, including a B.A. in Sociology, summa cum laude, from Temple University, a J.D. from Temple University School of Law, and advanced coach training from the pre-eminent coaching school Coach University, I am, at heart, a lifelong entrepreneur. I have been self-employed forever (actually since I was 18 years old which, at this ripe old age of 57, certainly seems like forever)! I've chosen such diverse occupations as that of a bicycle messenger and taxicab driver in New York City, and owner and operator of a trucking company in both New York and Philadelphia. Then, somewhat inexplicably, I chose to do a twenty year stint as an attorney, owning my own law practice in both Philadelphia and New Jersey (from which occupation I'm most happily "recovered"!).
My involvement in the areas of both business ownership and law, for my entire working career, in conjunction with my eternal self-employed status, has afforded me the privilege of easily relating to and understanding the issues that arise for people in these positions in life - I "get it". As such, I coach executives, business owners, and professionals , dealing with the issues that arise for them within both their work environment and their personal lives. I also coach people in all stages of transition in their lives, as I'm clearly no stranger to change and the issues that arise during those periods. I also coach people who are simply "stuck" and need support in getting out of their own way.
As an integral part of my coaching practice, I do both individual and group coaching, and facilitate workshops, seminars and presentations. I've also been a weekly columnist and blogger for the Courier Post (South Jersey's largest newspaper), and have spent a great deal of time in the world of professional writing.
I'm affiliated with Coach University, the International Coach Federation, and the New Jersey Professional Coaches Association.
